Hatch Chart

The Pere Marquette river boasts some of the finest classic hatches in the midwest. From blanket grey drake spinnerfalls to the monsterous hex limbata, variety is norm on the PM.

In fact, one could safely say that insect activity on the PM clearly defines the term "Complex Hatch".

The consistent overlap in emergence of various species will test your entemological skills. Not only in identifing which flies are hatching, but which ones the fish are actually feeding on.

Chances are, the flies you bring will always be the wrong ones for that particular moment. :-)
